Wedding inspiration | Jayne & Ryan | Paper & Ink Studio

It’s always helpful for us when a couple has a clear, shared vision for their wedding – it makes our job a little bit easier and gives us a better chance of designing wedding stationery that they will fall in love with. Most couples come to us with a few ideas and we build upon them. Then there are couples like Jayne and Ryan.

From the outset, it was clear that this lovely couple knew exactly what they wanted. They knew who they were as individuals and as a couple and were very clear on how they wanted this to translate to the elements included in their wedding and reception. It’s because of their clarity that we were able to capture who they are, and I think we did this to a tee.

On deciding to work with Lala Design | Paper & Ink Studio. ‘To be honest, we received a few quotes from various suppliers, but no one compared to Lala Design | Paper & Ink Studio. Probably most of all though, was when we received our initial invite design, both my partner and I felt the font we had chosen wasn’t a true representation of us and our wedding. Anna from the team was so fabulous to deal with and sent us several font options and we were able to land on the perfect font for our stationery which represented both us as a couple and the wedding we were planning. Nothing was too much trouble for the girls and we couldn’t have been more grateful.’

On using time-saving services. ‘Obviously everyone’s budget is different, however for my partner and I when it came to stationery and invites, we wanted the process to be as easy as possible. This meant, the girls designed, printed, addressed, collated, packaged and stamped all our invitations. All my partner and I had to do were seal the envelopes and pop them in the post box. This made our lives so much easier.’

On seeing the final result. ‘There are honestly no words to describe what it was like to see everything on our wedding day come together.

My partner and I had decided we’d like the opportunity to see our reception and all the elements prior to our guests, so we did a first look with just us and our bridal party. It is something I would recommend to all couples.

Our stationery, from the ceremony booklets, seating chart, to our menus, places cards, etc everything just worked and flowed and was exactly what we had dreamt of. It was important to us that our invites flowed into our wedding stationery at our reception so that everything thing appeared thought out and planned (which it was!) and everything turned out perfectly.’

"Parting advice: “Enjoy this special and exciting time with your fiancé and most of all ensure every decision you make, you and your fiancé make as a team. My partner and I loved everything about our wedding as everything was a reflection of us as a couple. Also, surround yourself with great wedding vendors, ours were the perfect team and our wedding was a reflection of this.”
