When I first saw all the photos from Felicity and Brad’s gorgeous wedding in early March, I was absolutely blown away by how perfectly all the elements of it came together. While the day lacked Perth’s usual blue sky and late-summer heat, there’s something to be said about exchanging vows in front of the muted, misty tones of the Swan River. The wedding looked magical and otherworldly, and certainly gave these two beautiful souls some amazing photos (and memories) to treasure forever.

On choosing Lala Design | Paper & Ink Studio for their wedding stationery. ‘The decision to use Lala Design | Paper & Ink Studio was an easy one for us,” says bride Felicity. “I had seen their work at a friend’s wedding, so I instantly knew the quality was second to none and I remember thinking how beautiful my friend’s wedding invite was when I received it in the mail. I wanted that exact impact for my own invites.’
On having a clear idea of what they wanted. ‘My husband and I knew roughly what we wanted, and when we met with Lala at our design meeting she was amazing at going through all the different options available to us and giving us her professional opinion. We ended up designing invitations and stationery that were perfectly suited to us and the styling of our wedding.’
On Felicity’s favourite part of the process. ‘My favourite part was definitely choosing the paper, colour, font, etc. for our invitations. There were endless amounts of options available and it was so exciting tweaking little elements to make it our own,” says Felicity. “Even my husband, who generally left most of the wedding decisions to me, got seriously involved. In fact, he basically made all the design suggestions for our invitations and he was adamant the invitations had to be letterpress!’

On the feeling when everything comes together. ‘It really was the most magical day of my life. I knew the day was going to be beautiful with all of the talented vendors that were helping create our dream wedding, but when I first saw it all together I couldn’t really quite comprehend it – it was so incredibly breath-taking.’
"I was blown away with how beautiful it was, and it was quite an emotional moment to see the reality of what we had been planning for so long right in front on me. It’s definitely a feeling I’ll never forget, and I wish I could relive it over and over again!"
