Being from sunny, waterfront Perth there’s little wonder why weddings featuring water are so popular here. We have all the amazing ingredients for them right on our doorstep, from stunning beaches, to shipwrecks to easy-to-explore-reefs and laid-back holiday islands. We’re a lucky bunch!
It makes sense that our collective memories are full of all things beachy: the smell of suntan lotion, the pure adrenalin of racing across burning hot sand to the water’s edge, and the feeling of diving beneath the waves. Oh, and the sunsets! You haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen a sky filled with pastel pink, blue and apricot as the sun sets over the ocean. It’s truly magical.
But even if you’re not from Perth, waterfront scenes evoke similar memories. It’s because we all have a connection with water – one that is calming and peaceful – and it’s this connection and our memories that we draw on for inspiration when deciding on wedding stationery.

On where our designer Anna finds her inspiration to create these beautiful designs.
Anna uses Pinterest a lot (she manages our Pinterest boards), so she will build a board and creates invites and stationery to fit that board or theme. She is a massive hoarder of all types of design resources and has a wonderful, unique taste in design.
Does Anna take a walk along the beach to get herself in the mood for creating waterfront designs?
Not exactly. Anna is an on-the-couch-in-a-dark-room, read-a-book-all-day person – you won’t catch her in sunlight! This may be why our Waterfront designs have a slightly dark edge to them, rather than light and bright.

Personally, I’m a bit of a sucker for a waterfront moment and a lot of our clients must be too, because our Waterfront collection is one of our most popular. Want to see more of our Waterfront designs?
