About Us
I have always been a paper addict! My love of all things paper and stationery related has lead me to opening my own shop/heaven.
It all started in 2003, with a friend’s wedding, we were looking for paper products so we could create her own, unique wedding stationery set. During this process I noticed that most of the products were a bit dated and it was hard to find the envelopes etc to match. We also had no idea of what we were doing, and needed some help.So after this experience, I decided to test my idea of having a paper shop, just specialising in the contempory – funky side of paper, with the accessories to match, and my super friendly, helpful service. This little shop, was in the Subiaco Markets, and just 3 months later, I needed to move to a bigger shop, because we couldn’t fit more than 2 customers in the shop.
The “Pink Shop” on Oxford Street, Leederville is now the home of lala design, I am always trying to cram more and more paper stuff in. All the lala girls, are previous customers and are self taught as I am. So we are more than happy to share our knowledge with you. Sometime I can’t believe that this is what I do for a living, and that we have handcrafted stationery for over 3000 wedding’s. Just to keep it fresh, I also design and print in Perth, our own exclusive range of lala design papers, customers, Brides and fashion is what inspires the next design.
I hope you enjoy my little slice of paper heaven, feel free to pop in and have a chat, us lala girls do like to talk!
Happy papering!!!!
